August 2017 Chamber Events

There will be regular Village Board meeting on Monday August 7th at 6 pm, at the Village Hall. All village residents interested in knowing more about the Biodigester, please try to attend. You may also ask questions during the public portion of the meeting. This is an important issue for the Village of Walton. Hope to see you all there.

Come visit the Walton Chamber of Commerce booth at the Delaware County Fair, August 14th-19th. We will be located in the Commercial Tent in our usual spot. This year we will be featuring our brand new video “Walton Lifestyles”. View the sights and sounds of Walton, and see why it is a wonderful place to live, work and play. There will be Chamber representatives there to answer questions and give out information. You can also purchase raffle tickets in time to be included in the Early Bird Drawing on Saturday August 19th. We hope to see you all at the Fair!

Reminder to all Chamber members.. there will be no Chamber meeting in August, due to the Delaware County Fair. Thank you.

Mark your calendar for the last Concert in the Park, sponsored by the Walton Chamber of Commerce. Featured is the group “Last Episode”. The Concert will be held Monday August 21 from 6 pm-8 pm. Please note the change in time! It will be at Bassett Park, Griswold Street, Walton. Rain date is Wednesday August 23. Come enjoy the music, visit with friends or get up and dance! Hope to see you there.

Walton Town Council positions are contested. A Meet the Candidates night will be held on Wednesday, August 30th at 7 pm in the Walton Fire Hall on West Street. Town Supervisor Charles Gregory will face challenger Bruce Dolph. Councilmen Luis Rodriguez-Betancourt and Kevin Armstrong will face Challenger Kathleen Hayek. All Village and Town residents are invited to attend. Be an informed voter! This debate is sponsored by the Walton Chamber of Commerce.
